Welcome to my personal site! I'm Liam Fruzyna, an embedded software engineer at KTS by day and a tinkerer of all kinds of tech by night.
I graduated from Marquette University in 2019, double-majoring in Computer and Data Sciences. Afterwards, I spent 6 years at Motorola Solutions developing rapid prototypes using SDR technology. There I tackled a wide array of problems; I processed large data sets in the cloud, worked on high performance x86 systems, programmed single purpose microcontrollers, and spent lots of time with embedded Linux systems.
Outside of work I tinker on whatever tech I can get my hands on. My latest project is writing a Python API for Uniden Bearcat scanners. But I have also spent my time developing various web apps, managing my homelab, and even designing a keyboard from scratch.
But the greatest suck of my time, by far, is FRC. I am an alumnus of the WildStang Robotics Program and returned after college to participate as an industry mentor. There I get the opportunity to give back by mentoring high schoolers in software development. I also lead development of the team's scouting system, WildRank.
